The Property forms part of the Pongola Game Reserve, all of which is privately owned by like-minded individuals who formed this reserve with the purpose of allowing vast numbers of species to roam freely without the intrusion of fences and limited spaces.

The total reserve area is 75,000 acres.

You will see 4 of the Big 5;

Elephant, Black and White Rhino, Buffalo, and Leopard, as well as large quantities of other game species such as Kudu, Nyala, Impala, Reedbuck, Wildebeest, Zebra, Giraffe, Steenbok, Red and Grey Duiker, and Warthog. Having the reserve extend to the shores of Lake Jozini brings an added dimension – affording guests the opportunity of boat cruises on the lake, or to try their hand at tiger fishing.

The lodge comprises of a tastefully decorated lounge, where one can sink away into a chair with a good book or enjoy the view from within the coolness of this vast and spacious area. Tusker’s Bar made of indigenous "Red Milkwood" timber, offering guests a variety of drinks and cocktails, is always open.

Dining is an indulgence. Long lazy breakfasts, and delectable elegant dinners are the order of the day - all carefully prepared and beautifully presented by our resident chef. Meals are either served in the traditional boma or in the lodge.

Each afternoon guests enjoy a scrumptious "high-tea" - a selection of mouth watering sweet and savoury treats before embarking on the sunset activities.

The exterior sprawling wooden deck surrounding the enormous shady Marula tree, makes for perfect afternoon leisure, or guests may choose to laze around in our very unique “rock” swimming pool, both offering spectacular views of Jozini Lake, and Lebombo Mountains beyond adorned with a spectrum of colours by the setting sun.

Superior accommodation is offered in 7 en-suite chalets, all privately situated with private patios and magnificent views. The bathrooms are very special with large showers and raised oval baths with clear views of the lake.

Our Honeymoon Suite is designed with the more romantic in mind, with a private Jacuzzi set on an extended deck in the bush.

The chalets all have air-conditioning, mini bar with tea & coffee making facilities; luxurious bath essences, lotions etc for your pleasure & comfort, hairdryers and electronic mini-safe for safe keeping of personal items, money etc.
